Great starter for video!
I shoot short films and intro videos for speaker topics. It is a light camera but sturdy enough. I am pretty new to the videography scene But I love this camera. It has everything you need to start learning and exploring your tastes. I researched cameras of all different brands and price ranges for a little over a year. This seemed to be the the best for the price. I could afford a more expensive camera but by purchasing this particular model I was able to buy a rig and other supports for the camera. Overall I wouldn\’t shoot a short film that had a budget but for a run and gun light weight rig and a reasonable price tag, defiantly the best camera out there.

I have owned Canon products for 40 years. This is an embarrassment to the Canon product line. My criticism is not as it compares to my 5D, I am comparing this to $400 pocket cameras like the G15 and SX230. For under $500 you can get SUPERB cameras like the Sony DSC-HX400V (OUTSTANDING!!) That Sony camera gets an A++ (Love IT!), in comparison this T5i gets a D- (and I am being kind). I bought this camera for my son because he needed a camera with removable lenses for his Photography class in HS. After opening up this camera and attempting my first shot, I would have sent it immediately back. I did read in reviews that it was not good in low light. They weren\’t kidding, it\’s worse than expected. The Lenses feel and work like they were made by LEGO. What a piece of Cxxx. I love B&H, outstanding products and service. I am not returning this camera only because it is being used by a novice that isn\’t really into photography. I like photography and nice equipment. There are many very nice cameras in the $500 range now. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
